Product empties and review

I realized I need to do some major hauls as I am running out or have completely run out of my holy grail products. I also need to purchase a few more beauty products and more make up.

I love empties posts because I believe the best person to review a product is the one who has used up that product completely. Many beauty product manufacturers always advise customers to try to use up a product (as long as no side effects are experienced) before deciding whether or not that product is good for them or not, as it is best to give the product ample time to work.

Here’s a rundown of my empties and why I WILL re-purchase:

Neutrogena Ultra-sheer Dry Touch sunblock: I did a review on this sunscreen here. I LOVE this sunscreen mainly because of its dry touch effect that is mattifying and as a result, it does not make my face greasy, or make me sweat easily. It leaves only a very faint white cast on the skin that some powder will neutralize easily. Actually I have already bought a new tube.

Aphogee Pro Vitamin Leave-in Conditioner: Check out my review here. I love how it gives my hair a good PH balance and also adds strength to my hair without making it crunchy. I think it is awesome for relaxed heads.

Catwalk Tigi Oatmeal and Honey Conditioner: Bought this in 2011 from the UK and I was using only really small quantities of the product because I was scared I would not find a place to get it once it got finished! It is such a great product and as boasted on the bottle, it is indeed comfort food for dry and damaged hair. Oatmeal and honey combined is like having the best of both worlds.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara: Very volumizing, and using more than one coat helps to lengthen too. It’s almost as good as the Maybelline Volume Express mascara for the smokey eye effect.

Bodyshop Tea tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash: I should do a review on this soon. I love the tea tree effect as I have blemish-prone skin. The crushed apricot granules also help to exfoliate the skin gradually with every use.

Forever Living Products Aloe Vera Sunscreen-SPF 30: I want to get this as a back up to the Neutrogena one, as I can use this on my body (arms and feet) and also, the Neutrogena sunscreen is very pricey here. I got it for N4,790 or $30 at HealthPlus! I will leave the Neutrogena for ONLY my face henceforth.

So there you have it-my mini-review on products I have used up to the last drop!

What are your holy grail staple products?
